Frequency is another lockdown baby. I was listening to a lot of old jazz records and watching classic films like Casablanca and the Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times, hence the reference to grandfather clocks and carousels. At the time Nick and I were doing a weekly Facebook Live gig from our front room and it was the only way we could feel that connection you get at gigs. All we had was airwaves so why not write about it?! We knew this song would have to be a live recording for the record to keep it raw like the Facebook live gigs and as such you can hear the piano stool creaking half way through!
