I wrote this song when we were coming out of lockdown and it was really hitting home how hard it had all been. We were all in survival mode, not really living. But once we had come out of hibernation I was still struggling to forgive myself for not being productive, for not just getting on with life now everything was “back to normal”. Like so many others I’m still not quite over Covid so this song can be my mantra whenever I need to remember to give yourself permission to let go of your high expectations.
